Gitana Café has easily made it to my favorite coffee shops list. After our first time coming here during our visit to Hermosa Beach, we ended up coming every day after. Every drink we had was amazing, but some of our favorites were the strawberry matcha, blueberry matcha, and the dirty horchata latte. I love that they also don’t charge extra for plant based milks which is a huge plus for me.

Such a gem in our community Whether I’m craving a matcha latte, Spanish coffee with sweet condensed milk, or fresh squeezed orange juice, this cute cafe is my go to every time. Friendly staff, and if you’re lucky the owner (husband & wife) will take your order.

We loved Gitana Cafe so much, we went twice during our weekend in Hermosa! The space is super cute and cozy, and they served our lattes quickly both times. The strawberry matcha was a favorite—highly recommend! Definitely a go-to spot for great drinks and good vibes.

Cute find! We got lucky and the upstairs nook became available for us. Sweet little cafe. We had the chicken panini, bacon burrito and empanadas and all were delicious. We also had the the strawberry matcha and Spanish latte - perfect!

Indie cafe run by a friendly young artist couple. Grab a yummy drink/treat for walking the The Strand or take a break to soak up the ambiance, get local travel tips, and browse their Little Free Library. Highly recommended!

Beautiful café, delicious food, amazing coffee, and such friendly people. I had a latte with their homemade panela and it was amazing. The emapanadas were so good, but the arepa is what truly blew me out of the water. It paired perfectly with the latte. A huge shout out to Santos who elevated the whole experience with her friendliness and outstanding service. Thank you so much. We will definitely be returning.

I am obsessed with this place! I have been to more coffee shops across SoCal than I can count thanks to my line of work, and somehow my favorite one ended up being my local spot within walking distance. Lucky me! There is a true sense of community here. The people who work here are genuinely kind, wonderful humans who clearly enjoy what they do, and it shows. The vibe is perfect whether you want to sit quietly and do your own thing or strike up a conversation with a stranger and make a new friend. The space itself is adorable. There is a cozy upstairs nook that seats 2–3 people, plenty of shaded outdoor seating, and even a Little Library posted out front with thoughtfully rotated books. It’s the kind of place you want to linger. Drink-wise, the Golden Chai Latte is my absolute fave (I’m hooked), but if you love trying things you don’t see everywhere, you have to try the Spanish latte, ube latte, taro latte, or horchata. They also have multiple matcha options, so truly something for everyone. Don't get me started on the pastries... amazing variety, including some unique options you won’t find elsewhere. Plus, there are health drinks and snacks to grab and go. Bonus: you’re just a block from the beach, so it’s the perfect stop before heading to the sand! I can’t say enough good things about this place or how well run it is. It’s a true local gem in Hermosa and my go-to stop-in while I am on strand walks with friends!
